Founded on August 24, 2011, Nueva Montaña brings together 21 coffee producers united by a commitment to quality and sustainability. The cooperative’s mission is to improve coffee varieties and connect producers directly with consumers, with a long-term vision of achieving recognition in excellence competitions such as Taza de Excelencia.

Nueva Montaña’s members are smallholder farmers who cultivate coffee on small parcels of land. They prioritize natural and chemical-free methods, avoiding the use of herbicides or other synthetic products. Instead, they employ rotational planting practices that take into account the age and life cycle of the coffee plants, ensuring soil health and long-term productivity.
